Early childhood is the timeframe in a child's life when they develop the physical, emotional, social, and cognitive skills for success in the future It is our hope that children who live within our city and community do not have early opportunities to develop a love for language and reading due to low income, single-parent homes, teen parents, and variances in parental education and race/ethnicity.
Goals:
The essential goal is to equip children to begin school on equal footing with regard to reading, math, science and technology and related learning opportunities.
to provide resources and materials to facilitate these opportunities for our parents and equip them with opportunities through stronger comprehensive parenting skills and educational
experiences. In turn, an improved parenting equals improving living conditions and more opportunities for all within the community and the nation.
To provide programs that will promote learning and growth opportunities for children between 3-5 years of age.
To decrease dropout rates by providing early childhood learning opportunities.
To encourage parents to read to their children. Children who are read to on a daily basis will be better prepared to start school.
Overall:
A Comprehensive Early Childhood Education
with the involvement of parents in every aspect.
We are committed to providing quality social, academic, physical, health and nutrition services to our diverse population, working closely with our certified staff and community partners and volunteers (such as JUMPSTART) to ensure that every child becomes a successful learner.
